The longstanding partnership between Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) and Panoz Team PTG Racing will resume for the remainder of the 2008 American LeMans Series GT2 season. "Our relationship with (Team PTG owner) Tom Milner has seen great success in sports car racing over the years, and we're confident our goals with Panoz Team PTG will be fulfilled," said Mark Chung, Yokohama director, strategic marketing. "We're working closely with Team PTG and we look forward to making good progress on the track in the upcoming races."
The Panoz Esperante GTLMs driven by Team PTG will be equipped with Yokohama Advan A005 tires at Road America through the end of the season.
"Yokohama has a long history of racing success, and we're determined to provide the best high-performance tires for our racing partners," Chung said. "We're going to focus on new tire development and we set our sights on podium finishes this year. This partnership has a lot of potential and our goal is to construct tires that will live up to our tradition of excellence."
