Friday, August 26, 2011 Wholesale Tire Distributors doubles size with Hamilton distribution centre
 Wholesale Tire Distributors has increased both the size and geographic scope of its operations with the acquisition of a distribution centre in Hamilton, company officials announced.
The acquisition of the 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse will give Wholesale Tire a second distribution point in the busy Ontario market to service independent tire retailers and commercial customers. The warehouse will be supported by a full complement of distribution and sales staff when it becomes operational on September 12, 2011.
Wholesale Tire is one of the largest tire distributors in the Greater Toronto Area. Its new facility in Hamilton provides the company with a platform to dramatically expand its service levels west of Metropolitan Toronto, from Mississauga to the Kitchener-Waterloo area, including Niagara and the greater Hamilton area.
The Hamilton location augments the 56,000 sq. ft. Wholesale Tire Distributors centre in Vaughn, Ontario.
“The new facility not only gives us a much larger distribution footprint in our market, it is vital infrastructure that will help us grow our service across the province,” explains Wholesale Tire vice president Jonathon Karelse.
