Vredestein presents the successor to its Wintrac Xtreme

One year after Dutch manufacturer Vredestein was acquired by Apollo Tyres, the company presents what will be the successor to the Wintrac Extreme, the Wintrac Nextreme.

This  high performance cold weather and SUV tire is the second winter tire ever to be developed in collaboration with Italian design house Giugiaro, with whom Vredestein has worked for more than a decade.

‘The tire is not only strong in winter conditions, but also responds exceptionally well on wet and dry surfaces,’ says Vredestein.

The Wintrac Nextreme is available in three speed ratings: V, W and – offered in a winter tire for the very first time – Y, the last of which is suitable for speeds of up to 186 mph (300 km/h). The range covers fitments for 16- to 19-inch diameters and is available for SUVs in 17 to 22 inch diameters in two speed ratings: H and V.
