Wednesday, February 25, 2009 Testing Continental’s New Extreme Winter Contact
Last week, German tire maker Continental greeted a host of automotive journalists and customers to try out its new Extreme Winter Contact in the snow in Montana. The new tire was installed on some of the most difficult cars to drive in winter, namely rear-wheel drive BMWs and Mustangs. Also, Continental had included bigger sizes for light trucks and that turned out to be the surprise of the day. The new Conti will be available in 51 sizes just like its almost identical twin, the General Tire Altimax Arctic. (ED)
