Wednesday, February 11, 2009 Pirelli Declared a World Leader
 For the second year in a row, Pirelli has been declared world sector leader in the "Autoparts and Tires" segment, as well as "Gold Class Company" in the Sustainability Yearbook 2009 prepared by SAM Group with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The yearbook is a complete, worldwide publication on sustainability and corporate performance trends, and represents an authoritative tool for sustainable finance professionals. It includes companies that distinguish themselves with excellence in sustainability; only 15% of listed companies in 57 industry categories are included following SAM's review. SAM (Sustainable Asset Management) is the Swiss ethical rating agency which selects companies for admission to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Pirelli was selected for the first time in 2002.
