Tuesday, December 01, 2009 Pirelli Could Open Another Plant in Russia
 During a recent conference call with European stock analysts, Francesco Gori, CEO of Pirelli Tyre S.p.A., said that his company was in touch to buy an relatively new, existing plant in Russia, hoping the deal would be finalized in the first six months of next year. More than one observer speculates that it would be a very recent Amtel plant. Amtel went bankrupt last year. This project would be added to Pirelli’s previously announced deal that it would build a joint venture passenger and light truck tire plant with Russian Technologies State Corporation. (ED)
