Friday, December 18, 2009 Pirelli and Dunlop Introduce “Greener” Race Tires
 Pirelli Competizioni and Dunlop Motorsports will be offering “green” race tires next season following the conversion of their respective race tire production to more environmentally friendly processes. Indeed, both Pirelli and Dunlop have adopted a “highly aromatic oil-free” process that respects the new European Union regulations that ban the use of aromatic oils considered as potentially carcinogenic. Among those tires are the Pirelli P Zero used in the North American Rolex Series and the Dunlop Sport Maxx used in the British Touring Car Championship. (ED)
