Tuesday, October 28, 2008 Our own Jil McIntosh wins the Car Care Canada Award

Jil McIntosh, a regular contributor to many of our publications including Tire News and CASP won the 2008 Car Care Canada Award for Car Safety Journalism at the recent Automobile Journalist Association of Canada (AJAC) annual banquet held late this October. The article she submitted, Out of Sight, But Still Deadly, was published in the Wheels section of the Toronto Star on August 2, 2008. It dealt with a potential mechanical issue Jil discovered on a car belonging to a lady she helped while changing a tire in her own driveway. It pointed out that an annual check-up of any vehicle is a must in order to keep it safe.
