Monday, March 22, 2010 Nokian Unveils the New Hakkapeliitta 7 Winter Tire
 Finnish tire manufacturer Nokian has just unveiled its new studdable Hakkapeliitta 7 winter tire to North American dealers. It will be available in limited quantities to begin with but will eventually come in 49 sizes, including several run-flats. Among its main characteristics is its proprietary Bear Claw Stud System. This system includes air chambers in front of each stud that absorb the stud’s impact to reduce road damage and noise, a special silica compound, and the manufacturer’s Driving Safety indicator system with a series of numbers on the tread that shows the owner the levels of wear.
