 Hankook invited Autosphere to sample, on an ice rink, their new high-performance winter tire, the Hankook Winter i*CEPT evo. This tire will be available in Canada for the 2011/2012 winter. 3D sipes and large lateral grooves have been integrated in the design to offer good control in snowy conditions. The rubber compound combined with the tread design allowed for impressive initial bite as well as good braking distances on the ice.
The Hankook Winter i*CEPT evo will be available in 40-plus sizes ranging from 16 to 18 inches. Being a tire aimed at high-performance vehicles, most sizes will be v-rated.
