Monday, January 18, 2010 NASCAR Drivers Happy With New Goodyear Tires
Among the good news in the tire business is Goodyear’ s recent success in its NASCAR two-day tire test at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Four drivers participated in the test: Martin Truex Jr., Mark Martin, Carl Edwards, and Sam Hornish Jr. Mark Martin posted the quickest lap on Wednesday as all four drivers praised the new Goodyear Eagle racing tires for their grip and better wear even if the track was cold and had no rubber worked in. The first NASCAR Sprint Cup races will be held in mid-February at the Daytona International Speedway. (ED)
