Nanotechnology Tire

Yokohama says that its S.drive with nanotechnology provides extraordinary grip and handling in more than 70 sizes up to 285/30R20 99Y for a broad range of sport sedans and coupes. It fits 15- to 20-in wheels in aspect ratios from 30-55. A silica-based compound conforms to the road surface for maximum grip under both dry and wet conditions. Tiny scores within the groove walls, similar to sipes on the tire’s surface, effectively distribute stress loads and reduce uneven wear. It has with four wide circumferential grooves for enhanced wet traction, while angled groove walls optimize road surface contact to provide better cornering. An unbroken centre rib maintains continuous road contact for improved lateral stability and ride comfort. (SB)
