Friday, October 30, 2009 Michelin Sees a Brighter Future
Groupe Michelin has just released its latest sales revenue and, as expected, there was a fall in the third quarter. Fortunately, the French tire maker is optimistic about the future as it sees signs that the market implosion might have bottomed out. According to Michelin, in both Europe and North America, orders are starting to pick up. As a matter of fact, Michelin cites that in North America, passenger tire demand has risen 3.8% in the last quarter. As far as truck tires are concerned, Michelin estimates that the markets will fully recover when there is a renewed demand for freight and international truck service. (ED)
