Monday, February 22, 2010 Many Awards at the 10th Annual Tire Tech Expo
 The 10th Annual Tire Technology Expo was held Feb 9-11 in Cologne, Germany and it recognized Europe’s leading international tire design and manufacturing with many awards. Michelin received the coveted Tire Manufacturer of the Year Award, and the judges awarded Kumho Tire Co. the Tire Manufacturing and Design Innovation Award for its tire laser etching technology. American manufacturer Goodyear received the Expo’s Environmental Achievement of the Year Award for its concept demonstration tires made with Biolsoprene technology, which could replace some petrochemical products with renewable biomass. As for Sumitomo Rubber Industries, it received the Tire Technology award of the year for its new Thermal Control Technology for run-flat tires. (ED)
