 May 11 to 17 is Be Tire Smart Week. According to a RAC survey, on any given day in Canada, 70% of personal vehicles will have at least one tire that is over- or under-inflated. That only will contribute to an unnecessary fuel bill that can grow up to an estimated $579 million during the same year. What’s worst, it seems that 23% of motorists will have at least one seriously under-inflated tire by more than 20%, which becomes a safety hazard. The solution? Invest in a reliable tire gauge and measure tire pressure each month. This could save the average driver the equivalent of two weeks worth of free fuel every year. (ED)
