Monday, January 04, 2010 Hoosier Will Make Continental’s Grand-Am Race Tires
A few weeks ago, we published the information that specialty (racing) tire maker Hoosier was to collaborate with the German giant Continental Tires. Well, here is the proof, as Continental Tire North America, who recently announced that it would become the sponsor and exclusive tire supplier to the Grand-Am Road Racing Sports Car Challenge, now says it will involve the support of Hoosier Racing Tire. Note that Hoosier has been the Grand-Am series’ tire supplier since its inception in 2000. Hoosier makes its tires at its Plymouth, Indiana plant. This agreement will run until at least the 2014 season. In Canada, the Grand-Am series runs at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (Québec) in August. (ED)
