Tuesday, August 02, 2011 Honoured Hall-of-Famer: Claude Ratté
"What characterizes him most is his righteousness. He’s a very fair man with good judgment and plenty of common sense." - Charlyne Ratté.
Back in 2007, Claude Ratté was inducted into to the Hall of Fame and became part of the history of the tire industry’s success in Quebec.
"I was not too attracted to my studies and when I finished high school, I felt ready to join my father’s company because the tire industry fascinated me", states Ratté. Later, in partnership with his brother, he purchases Pneus Raté and the business grows expansively in the ‘80s.
As a small business focused on tires, the company becomes an important regional distributor in the eastern Quebec and the Mauricie region. Strengthened by its success and inspired by Georges Morel of Pneus Salois, the company gets involved with the warehouse construction project of the UNIPNEU Group in Boucherville and contributes to the merger of two big distribution networks, UNIMAX and UNIPNEU.
"What satisfies me most is seeing my children, Charlyne and Stéphane, taking up the torch and continuing the tradition into the third generation" says Claude, proudly.
These great successes confirm Claude Ratté's leadership as one of the major builders in Quebec’s tire industry.
Hall of Fame Honorees: great men dedicated to great causes.
