Thursday, October 27, 2011 Hankook Posts Record Sales Numbers
 Hankook Tire released record figures for the third quarter of 2011 with global consolidated sales totaling CDN $1.5 billion, a year-over-year increase of 23%.
The sales growth was particularly evident in the developed markets where the company sold almost 50% and 30% more tires than last year in Europe and North America respectively. In the emerging markets, the company achieved 36% and 26% year-over-year growths in the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions respectively.
The company says it also saw robust growth in the sale of ultra high performance (UHP) tires, with global sales more than doubled to domestic automakers, and with 79% more UHP tires sold to overseas automobile brands.
