Tuesday, December 01, 2009 Goodyear’s Fuel-Saving Tire Wins Popular Science Innovation Award
 Goodyear’s Assurance Fuel Max tire has just been named in Popular Science magazine’s list of the “100 Most Innovative Products of the Year” in the “Best of What’s New” section in the automotive technology category. Mark Jannot, editor-in-chief of Popular Science, said that the 100 winners chosen among thousands of entrants represent the highest level of achievement in their field. The Popular Science award has been in existence for the past 22 years. The Assurance Fuel Max tire features a proprietary fuel-saving compound that Goodyear claims it can deliver up to a 4% improvement in highway fuel economy mostly by reducing energy loss as the tire rolls.
