Firestone Unveils a New Technology for Agricultural Tires

Bridgestone Americas Agricultural Group has unveiled last week a new technology for its Firestone farm tires for today’s larger, heavier machinery. The new technology is called Advanced Deflection System (AD2) and it allows greater sidewall flexibility still meeting the North American Tire and Rim Association’s Increased Flexion (IF) standard. This new technology will allow the tires to carry heavier loads at the same pressure or the same load at lower pressure, a factor Firestone considers important for farmers as they have to now operate larger and more powerful equipment.
