Monday, January 11, 2010 Falken in Discussion With Ohtsu
 According to Modern Tire Dealer, Falken Tire Corp. could be returning to the medium truck tire business when it takes over distribution of the Ohtsu truck tire brand in North America from Itochu International. Actually, it will then be a return for Ohtsu with Falken since Falken used to distribute Ohtsu truck tires until early 2005 when control was turned over to Itochu. Falken will then offer 14 already-existing Ohtsu models until it is ready to introduce a SmartWay approved product. Ohtsu tires will then be available through Falken’s four distribution centres in Fontana, CA, Irving, TX, Dayton NJ, and Juliet, TN. (ED)
