 American tire maker Goodyear was awarded the Luxembourg Business Federation 2008 Award for Industrial Innovation for its European OptiGrip tire featuring SmartWear Technology. This tire was developed at Goodyear’s Luxemburg Technical Center and it was designed for the European market with enhanced wet grip and hydroplaning resistance. Its tread surface reveals new grooves as it wears.
