Tuesday, December 08, 2009 Cooper Tire to Boost Its Findlay Plant’s Capacity
 Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has announced it will be investing an additional $10 million in its Findlay, Ohio plant in order to add capacity thanks to automation, cost improvements, and tooling. According to John Bodart, Cooper North American Tire manufacturing vice-president, this plant will play a key role in the brand’s launch of several new light truck, SUV, and premium winter tires. The Findlay plant has a production capacity of more than 15,000 light truck and 6,000 passenger car tires a day. Cooper has also announced capacity increases and expansions of its Tupelo, Miss and Texarkana, Ark. plants as well as its joint ventures in Mexico and China. (ED)
