Friday, December 11, 2009 Continental Unveils Two Low-profile Truck Tires
 Continental Tire North America has launched yet two other new tires for heavy duty trucks, the HSL2 Eco Plus (Heavy Steer Long-Haul) and the HDL2 Eco Plus (Heavy Drive Long Haul) in size 295/60R22.5. Both tires are three inches shorter than the 275/80R22.5 but each has 1,215 more pounds (551 kg) of additional carrying capacity in a single fitment for load range G. According to Continental, these new tires will reduce the costs of operating a truck thanks to lowered rolling resistance and longer tire life. (ED)
