Thursday, October 15, 2009 Continental Introduces the New HDR1 Truck Tire
 Continental Tire North America is launching a new truck tire, the HDR1 (Heavy Drive Regional), in North America. This new tire is intended for drive axles and it features open shoulder design that offers excellent wet and dry traction. The HDR1 also offers 28/32 tread depth and Continental’s stone ejection technologies which reduce stone retention and penetration to the tire’s casing. Reducing stone damage can increase the tire’s longevity and its potential for retreading. The HRD1 can also be used as an all-position tire and is available in 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 275/80R22.5, and 285/75R24.5. (ED)
