Tuesday, January 27, 2009 Bridgestone, Sponsor of the Mark Messier Leadership Award
 Bridgestone has just announced it would be the presenting sponsorship of the Mark Messier Leadership Award in hockey. This award recognizes an individual as a superior leader in hockey and as a contributing member of society who leads by positive example through on-ice performance, motivation of team members, and dedication to community activities and charitable causes. Add to that the Bridgestone Mark Messier Youth Leadership Award to encourage leadership, community spirit, and to reward young hockey players or mentors/coaches for their contributions to youth sports or education.
