Thursday, June 18, 2009 Bridgestone Obtains a $1.9 Million Grant for a Tech Centre
 Bridgestone Americas received in early June, a $1.9 million grant from the State of Ohio for costs associated with the building of a $100 million technical centre in Akron, Ohio. The grant money will go toward machinery, equipment purchases, renovations, and infrastructure improvements. The machinery and equipment costs are estimated at about $12.2 million. On-site renovations, infrastructure preparation, and construction costs should run around the $53 million range. (ED)
