Monday, February 15, 2010 Bridgestone Introduces an Ecopia Tire for SUVs
 Bridgestone Americas introduced an Ecopia tire for SUVs at the Chicago Auto Show. The Dueler H/L 422 Ecopia, to be offered in six 16- to 18-inch rim diameter sizes, is a tire that incorporates technology for low rolling resistance to improve fuel economy. Since it’s a Dueler, it is aimed at SUVs, crossovers, and light trucks. At the same time, Bridgestone also introduced the Ecopia EP422, an all-season version of its tire designed for fuel-efficient vehicles. The EP422 will offer, according to its manufacturer, a 36% improvement in rolling resistance over a conventional tire. The EP 422 will be offered in five sizes for 15- and 16-inch rim diameters. (ED)
