Parliament is off for the summer, but AIA wants to keep you informed of all events happening in your electoral district, so that you have the chance to continue to voice your support for Bill C-273, the “Right to Repair Bill,” to your Member of Parliament.
You are likely aware that Bill C-273 will be reviewed by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Industry Science and Technology, beginning September 28, 2009. During this time, the 12 MPs who are the Committee Members will hear from automotive industry personnel—both from the original equipment manufacturing sector and the aftermarket sector—and conduct a clause-by-clause review of the Bill.
A calendar of events in these 12 ridings will be posted on the right to repair website righttorepair.ca/eventsearch.cfm as they are announced.
AIA urges you and those in your network to take this opportunity to raise your support for Bill C-273, and voice your opinions to your local Member of Parliament at these local events.
