Nissan has launched the NV as its first production commercial vehicle (CV) dedicated to the North American market. Offered in 1500, 2500 and 3500 guise, this newcomer aims square at the cargo van market dominated today by American manufacturers.
We were not surprised to have Nissan tell us that, in developing the new Nissan NV, one of the overarching goals was to combine pickup truck-like comfort, interior amenities and drivability with a cargo van’s capacity and security. Inside the cab is a roomy comfortable interior with wide, supportive seating and an expansive instrument panel.
The driving position is a lot more pickup like than commercial oriented. Features abound on this NV2500 and listing them would take up a full website, but it is clear Nissan’s engineers have clearly thought out the whole vehicle as a useful and flexible workhorse.
