Two More Members for AIAMC

Two of Sweden’s best-known auto brands have now become the 15th and 16th members of the Association of International Automobile Manufacturers of Canada (AIAMC).

After a 16-month absence, SAAB will return to Canada in December. During this hiatus, the company, previously owned by General Motors, has become an independent automaker now owned by Spyker Cars. IFS Vehicle Distributors ULC, SAAB’s new Canadian distributor, is a new AIAMC member. The Volvo Cars of Canada Corporation has also joined the AIAMC, ever since the Geely Holding Group Company Limited had bought back the Volvo Car Corporation from the Ford Motor Company last August, leaving Volvo Canada without membership in an industry association.
