Toyota’s Canadian Manufacturing Increases By 43.5 %



Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc. (TMMC) increased its 2010 production by 43.5 per cent over 2009 and assembled in September its four-millionth vehicle. In total, 458,729 vehicles were built by TMMC. This is good news if built in Canada is important for your fleet or for your fleet’s customers.

In the same breath, Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. announced that the company's assembly plants produced 1,456,887 vehicles in 2010, an 18 per cent increase compared to 2009.

Toyota's Canadian facilities assemble the Corolla, Matrix, RAV4 and Lexus RX350 while its U.S. counterpart assembles Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Highlander, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, Tundra and Venza.
