Every year, the North American Car of the Year committee makes its short list of Car of the Year and Truck of the Year known way ahead of its unveiling at the Detroit Auto Show. As a matter of fact, the list is published even before the Automotive Journalist Association of Canada holds its annual Test Fest to determine its own Canadian Car and Truck of the Year awards.
