Friday, November 20, 2009 The Detroit Auto Show’s « Electric Avenue »
Visitors at the upcoming North American Auto Show in Detroit (starting January 16 for the public) will be greeted by an unusual display. Indeed, the Auto Show will have a 37,000 square foot on its main floor dedicated to some 20 electric powered vehicles. Traditional automakers and individual entrepreneurs will then be represented on what will be called “Electric Avenue.” Last year, the show had a special quarter-mile track in the basement of the Cobo Hall called the EcoXperience where visitors could actually drive electric cars.
