The Bumpy Road to Electrification



As electric vehicles make their debut on Canadian roads, we might all imagine a future where local charging stations replace today’s gas stations. But the road from dirty fossil fuels to clean green energy isn’t as straight or as short as we might hope.

According to Chris Hill, Manager of Central Fleet, City of Hamilton and guest columnist for Rousseau Automotive Communication’s green supplement, Automotive Environment Annual, Canada has an “unfriendly climate for electric vehicles at the moment.”
