Seven Great Years!

North Toronto Auction is on cloud 9 (or should that be cloud 7) on the eve of the company’s seventh anniversary. The auction house recently announced that they will be the first independent auction in Canada to team up with GMAC SmartAuction, selling vehicles using SmartAction technology.

“We are eager to break away from the traditional auction schedule of most physical auctions, having an auction on the same day every week,” says Matt Rispin owner/partner and general manager of North Toronto Auction. “We have modified our physical auction schedule to accommodate a new philosophy of having cars for sale every day.

“Being an independent auction allows a huge advantage when it comes to teaming with auction companies such as SmartAuction. We can use several web-based remarketing companies to maximize our sales, conversion rate and bottom line. We are running tests on SmartAuction right now with the official launch planned for May 2010. At that time we hope to announce a partnership with another large internet remarketing company, giving our customer's a choice of which avenue they want to use.”

On Friday, April 30th, North Toronto Auction will be conducting a special “7th Year Anniversary Auction” - the largest dealer-only auction in the history of North Toronto Auction. The event will feature a huge consignment from across the industry, and with the online webcast “Autogavel”) on every lane, buyers from across North America will be in attendance.

Adding to the excitement of the event, North Toronto Auction recently came out with their quarterly numbers - their best first quarter ever by an incredible 600%. “Our employees have done an excellent job streamlining their processes,” Rispin adds. “In my opinion, North Toronto Auction has the strongest staff in the industry. Even during these turbulent times our management, sales and operations staff were able to take our auction to new levels. I can't be more proud.”
