Redesigned Hyundai Tucson

South Korean manufacturer Hyundai recently unveiled its all-new redesigned Tucson compact SUV in Korea. The North American version of the same vehicle will be unveiled in December at the Los Angeles Auto Show. First indications show that the North American version will not have a V6 engine option. Instead, it will have either a 2.0-litre or 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine which, paired to a newer transmission, should provide more power than the actual V6—and better fuel economy. Hyundai targets global sales of about 300,000 units in 2011. The Tucson should be available in Canada and the U.S. in early 2010. (ED)
