Outback helps Subaru hit record year-end sales

Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) reported a new annual sales record for 2010 with sales of 27,805 vehicles, a 20.7 percent increase over the 23,034 vehicles sold the previous year. It was also a record December for SCI with Canadians purchasing 2,348 vehicles during the month.

This annual sales increase helped SCI close out 2010 as the fastest growing Japanese manufacturer for the third year in a row. Robust sales of the Outback led to its best December ever and a new annual sales record: sales rose by 44.5 percent over the same month last year, while total annual Outback sales of 6,401 units beat the previous record, set in 2001, by 48.4 percent.
