Nissan Leaf Reservations Open on Oct 22

Nissan Canada reopened its online reservation system for its first allocation of model year 2012 Nissan LEAFs at noon on Saturday, October 22nd. Reservations are open to those who live within the vicinity (65 km) of the 27 Nissan LEAF certified dealers across Canada and who registered on www.nissan.ca/leaf before October 9th.

The 350 Nissan LEAFs available for Canadian retail customers in this first allotment for MY12 will begin delivery in the coming months. The MY12 units will be identical in spec and pricing to the MY11 Nissan LEAFs. At a starting price of $38,395, the Nissan LEAF is eligible for provincial rebates of $8,500 in Ontario and $8,000 in Quebec.

As with the first wave of reservations which happened in August, Nissan will carefully manage the purchase process from online registration, until the customer drives the Nissan LEAF home and plugs it into a personal charging dock.

Based on the enthusiastic response to the first wave of reservations, Nissan Canada anticipates selling out of all MY12 units quickly.
