Wednesday, July 06, 2011 Ninth Consecutive All-time Record for Volkswagen Canada
 For the ninth consecutive time, Volkswagen Canada reports that monthly sales have set an all-time high. With 5,006 new vehicles sold during the month of June, the company has broken its previous high water mark, set in 2001. The figure is 12% above last year's total.
Year-to-date, sales of 26,942 are 18% above the same period last year, significantly outperforming the total light vehicle industry in Canada, which is up just 2.7% year-to-date.
The all-new 2011 Jetta continued its strong performance, posting 2,580 for the month, resulting in a year-to-date total of 14,041, making it one of the top ten selling cars in Canada.
Sales of both Volkswagen sport utilities, the Tiguan compact and the Touareg mid-size remained robust. The Golf family, including the hatchback, wagon and sporty GTI, experienced another solid month, accounting for 1,363 sales.
