Navistar Unveils a Class 4/5 Work Truck, the TerraStar

At the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) held on March 10 in St. Louis, Missouri, Navistar introduced a new commercial Class 4/5 work truck called the International TerraStar. This smaller vehicle features a new MaxxForce 7 V8 300-hp 6.4-litre twin turbodiesel engine combined to an Allison 1000 automatic transmission. According to its manufacturer, the cab offers 28% more visibility than the “market leader.” Its cab is 107-inch BBC (bumper-to-back of cab) while the truck has a 44-foot curb-to-curb turning radius. It will come with a standard cab or optional extended cab and crew cab configurations with 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrain. (ED)
