More Hybrid Vehicles in Canada for Purolator

Purolator intends to double its fleet of hybrid vehicles in Canada with another 201 models scattered throughout the country.

Among the 201 vehicles, 43 will be assigned in Halifax and Dartmouth, 60 in Guelph, 19 in Niagara and the remaining 79 for the GTA. In Nova Scotia, Purolator`s green initiative has been partly supported by the 'ecoNova Scotia for Clean Air and Climate Change', which helps companies achieve such projects through funding.

This  way, Purolator carries on its delivery vehicle replacement program from conventional to hybrids started in 2005, thus reducing the amount of greenhouse emissions by 2,100 tons and saving 645,000 litres of fuel so far.
