Mitsubishi Electric Car on Canadian Roads in 2009

Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada announced in April that its new zero-emission car iMiEV could hit the streets of Canada as soon as November 2009. Indeed, the first production ready highway-capable iMiEV electric car could be test driven by BC Hydro and the City of Vancouver on B.C. roads by the end of the year. Mayor Gregor Robertson was thrilled that Vancouver would get to debut the iMiEV: “We want to make Vancouver the greenest city in the world… Electric vehicles are an important way to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.” (ED)
