Kia to Replace Its Spectra With the 2010 Forte

Korean auto maker Kia announced at the Chicago Auto Show that it would replace its older Spectra model by an all-new Forte, a bigger and more powerful sedan. A coupe version will follow this fall. The base model will be powered by a 2.0-litrer inline four cylinder engine that produces 156 hp while a more powerful 2.4-litre inline four will find its way in the sporty SX version. As the other models will get a five-speed manual or a fours-speed automatic transmission, the SX will be available with a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic. (ED)
