Thursday, August 20, 2009 Kia Launches Its New Forte Koup
 Korean automaker Kia has just launched its new Forte Koup compact car in Montreal this week. To do so, Kia Canada had invited the designer of the car, Peter Schreyer, from Germany so he could explain his styling techniques to the Canadian specialized press. Alain Dionne, Quebec regional director, acted as host to the event. The new front-wheel driven Koup is powered by a 2.0L 156 hp four-cylinder engine or a 2.4L 173 hp four-cylinder powerplant. Both are available with manual or automatic transmission. Base price for the 2.0 EX version is $18,495 while base price for the more sophisticated 2.4 SX is $21,495. (ED)
