 Kia Motors announced that they will be partnering up with the Montreal and Quebec’s round of the Grand Prix Cycliste. As the official automobile partner of the Montreal and Quebec UCI ProTour 2010, Kia will provide the official vehicles for the 18 UCI ProTour teams and the 5 guest professional teams invited to the event.
Kia will also help out with logistics, media and VIP transport. The Kia fleet, made of 62 vehicles, will include numerous models of the Kia brand, such as the new Sorento SUV, the new Forte sedan, the urban crossover the Soul, the urban utility vehicle the Rondo and the safest minivan in Canada, the Sedona.
16 races obtained the official UCI ProTour designation for 2010. The teams designated as ProTeam must take part in every race, as well as Montreal and Quebec’s rounds. With these two new races on the ProTour circuit, the best cyclists and their team members, i.e. more than 400 persons, will be in Quebec on September 10th and in Montreal on September 12th 2010. Over the next five years, Montreal and Quebec will help promote the globalization of professional cycling.
