GM Will Build the Buick Regal in Canada

General Motors has just announced that its all-new 2011 Buick Regal would be built in Oshawa, Ontario, restoring at the same time some 600 CAW assembly jobs. The production is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2011. The Regal, a small sedan based on the German 2009 Opel Insignia, will join the Chevrolet Impala sedan and Chevrolet Camaro coupe in Oshawa. Note that the top-of-the-line CLX version of the Regal will still be built in Russelsheim, Germany but will soon shift to a North American factory. (ED)
