GM sees no delay for plug-in SUV

According to Reuters, General Motors is right on time for launching a plug-in sport-utility vehicle in 2011. Among the 14 new fuel-saving hybrid models it has promised to launch by 2012, there is the Volt, that GM electric-drive car that should be on the market as soon as 2010. But most important is the plug-in version of the Saturn Vue SUV. The confusion is that GM has also announced the dismissal of the Saturn brand. Nonetheless, GM product chief Tom Stephens has said that there would be a replacement for the now-scrapped Saturn from one of GM’s four remaining brands.
