GM May Export China-made Cars to North America

According to Automotive News, General Motors is planning to sell cars in North America that are made in China as soon as 2011. GM would then be the first major automaker to import Chinese cars to North America. Some 17 335 Chinese-made cars are expected to be sold in the United States in 2011. The sales could grow to triple that number in 2014. Many of the vehicles are expected to be smaller cars similar to the upcoming Chevy Spark, a tiny GM car to be built in South Korea. (ED)
