Ford to Build a Police Car to Replace the Crown Victoria

Ford confirmed last week that it will replace the aging Crown Victoria (its production will end in 2011) by a new police car. The car, to be revealed early in early 2010, will be based on the actual Taurus. Though the car does not have a V8, it still has a 385-hp EcoBoost V6 that can be used for high-speed pursuit. The Taurus is available as a front-wheel or all-wheel drive sedan, the latter being very useful in snowy areas. (ED)
